Status:Active, open to new members
Leader:
When: Weekly on Tuesday mornings 10:00 am-11:00 am
Venue: Torquay Tennis Club

All players have to register as paid up BATZ members  of Torquay Tennis Club, as we use their courts, equipment and facilities. A BATZ membership is just £20 to join up until March 31st 2025. The membership includes free use of the outdoor Pickleball Courts and Table Tennis Table as well as members rates to hire a Padel Court.

We are currently playing indoors weekly on Tuesday mornings between 10 am and 11 am. Two indoor pickleball courts cost £12.00 per session, cost divided by the number of players.  We hope to play outdoors where the courts are free and the weather permits.

Refreshments are available in the clubhouse at reduced charge for members.

As Torquay Tennis Club members you can opt in to various other sessions and events.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a mix of tennis, and table tennis and scored like badminton. It can be played by singles or in pairs, either indoors or outside.

Players use hard paddles a little bigger than table tennis bats, and a light air filled plastic ball called a wiffle ball to play.
