The group has been in existence for a long time and I'm delighted to say it goes from strength to strength. Our 12 members are an absolute joy bringing such a range of styles and knowledge and enthusiasm. The two hours we spend together race by with lots of chat and laughter, as well as some more serious discussion. We do not purport to be literary critics however. We love writing so we practise and try to hone our skills through sharing what we write and listening to others. Some of our members are published authors but that is not the purpose of the group. We enjoy each other's company simply by sharing a common interest in creative writing.
After each session I send out a summary of the contributions together with a reminder for the agreed topics for the following month.

Members can decide which genre to write in - short story, flash fiction, memoir, article, poem, song lyrics … The readings are always fascinating and entertaining. We always find out something new. We never stop learning. Or having fun!

We have a waiting list for a second group, which is proposed to meet on the 3rd Monday of the month, from 2:00-4:00 at the Anchorage Hotel, Babbacombe. This would be open to beginners and also those with some experience.
