In Case of Emergency (ICE) Contact Data

If you have a serious accident during one of our activities, it is very useful for us to be able to know who to contact. We recommend giving details of your emergency contact information to your group leader.

If you own a smartphone, we advise you to keep your ICE information on it so it can be accessed in an emergency, even if it is locked.

Please Note - the exact method of entering the data can vary depending on the make and version of your smart phone, the detail below applies to the latest version which should cover most users.

Do you already have emergency contacts set up on your smartphone ?

Android phones - from the log on screen swipe upwards and the option to call emergency services appears, tap the dial pad icon then an icon for each of the contacts set up for the function will be shown.

iPhones - from the log on screen, press the lower button to show the passcode option then select emergency in the lower left hand corner, Medical ID will show in the lower left hand corner if set up. Selecting this will show if a contact has been set up for the function.

Setting up emergency contacts

Android phones - open Settings/Safety and Emergency/Emergency contacts. More information courtesy of Samsung.

iPhones - open the Health app where you can enter Health details and choose Medical ID to enter emergency contacts. Reference in iphone user guide.

An information page from The Stroke Association also gives good information.

If you are still having problems, speak to your group leader or send a message to Technical Assistance for help.
